Garage pop and rock 'n' roll duo Bruiser Queen performs live at the Old Rock House, supported by Dog Party and Jesus Christ Supercar.
Bruiser Queen play the Old Rock House on Saturday, October 17, with Dog Party and Jesus Christ Supercar opening. It's a St. Louis garage pop and rock 'n' roll duo—Morgan Nusbaum on vocals and guitar, Jason Potter on drums—and they describe their sound as 21st-century punk stomp mixed with a 60s girl-group shimmy. If you buy your tickets in advance, they come with a copy of their new EP, Out of the Woods, Into Oblivion.
Dog Party comes from Sacramento, sisters Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles, who put out their debut album in 2009. Jesus Christ Supercar is a local outfit that's been around since 2018, blending disco, synth pop, and glam rock. They've shared stages with Cheap Trick, Broncho, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), and Dinosaur Pile-Up.
The Old Rock House is a live music venue in a restored historic building that books more than 200 concerts a year. It's also a spot where you can have dinner prepared by an award-winning chef and sample a wide variety of adult beverages. The show is all ages, though there's a $2 cash surcharge at the door for minors.
