If you find yourself in Dogtown and want pizza without the fuss, Felix's Pizza Pub is the obvious place to land. It sits at 6401 Clayton Avenue, south of Forest Park, and leans hard into the neighborhood it calls home. The first thing you'll notice inside is the wall: hundreds of customer pet photos, which sets the tone for a place that's more about being a local fixture than putting on airs. It's cozy, welcoming, and clearly built for people who live nearby.

The pizza is the center of the menu, and it's built to be shared. You can order a 12-inch or an 18-inch, and every specialty variety comes in both sizes. A plain cheese 12-inch is $15.99, while the specialty versions run $25.49; the 18-inch cheese is $22.99 and the specialties are $34.99. The specialty names read like a map of the area: Art Hill, Dogtown, Franz Park, High Pointe, Murphy Pie, Tamm Ave, Turtle Park, and West Park, among others. If you're just stopping in for a quick bite, you can grab a slice of the week for $12.99, which is roughly a quarter of an 18-inch pie. The current slice of the week, "Meet The Felix," is a nod to the "Lunch Lady Land" sketch Chris Farley and Adam Sandler did on Saturday Night Live, topped with homemade sloppy joe mix, mozzarella, cheddar, yellow mustard, and pickles. A few allergen notes are worth knowing before you order: the meatballs on the Art Hill slice, the Alfredo sauce on the Tamm Ave, and the fried onions on the West Park all contain gluten.
There's plenty beyond the pizza, which is handy for a group with different cravings. The "Trashed Wings" come toasted in buffalo or barbecue, with double-fried versions topped with parmesan, buffalo sauce, and a jalapeño ranch drizzle, or a Thai chili version with scallion and sesame seeds. A side of toasted meat ravioli from Nonna's is $10.99, and the natural cut waffle fries come loaded for $11.99 or plain for $5.99. For something lighter, there's a Caesar, garden, chef, Greek, or Felix salad, and a few wraps, including a veggie wrap the place calls the best in Dogtown. Sandwiches like the Meatball Hoagie and the Lil Madre — Italian beef with melted provel and au jus — round out the list, and there's a kids' menu with a cheese slice, meat ravioli, and waffle fries for $4.99 each.
