The Invite

The Invite screens at Showcase Cinema de Lux on Saturday 4 July, part of the cinema's regular programme. It's a comedy directed by Olivia Wilde, with Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton in the lead roles.

Seeing those three names together on one bill is a fair bit of a draw. Rogen, Cruz and Norton aren't exactly the trio you'd expect to share a screen, and that's a good part of the appeal — they each bring something quite different to the table, and Wilde's direction ties them together. It's a comedy, so it's the sort of thing that works best when you're in the room with other people, and the cinema is a good spot for it.
