Film screening of the science fiction mystery thriller The End of Oak Street at Cinema de Lux Southampton.
The End of Oak Street is showing at Cinema de Lux Southampton this Wednesday 9 September, a few weeks after it first hit cinemas on 14 August. It's a science fiction mystery thriller that centres on the Platt family, whose lives are turned upside down when a mysterious cosmic event rips their suburb of Oak Street out of its surroundings and transports the whole neighbourhood to an unrecognisable place. From there, survival depends on sticking together as they navigate the strange new world they've landed in.
It's directed by David Robert Mitchell, with Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor and Maisy Stella in the lead roles. The story follows the Platts as they try to make sense of their new surroundings, and the family dynamic sits right at the heart of it. The film runs for 99 minutes, so it's a fairly tight watch that doesn't overstay its welcome, and it carries a 12A certificate, which means it's fine for most ages as long as younger viewers are accompanied.
