Film screening of the horror movie The End of Oak Street at Showcase Southampton.
The End of Oak Street is screening at Showcase Cinema De Lux in Southampton, with the first showing on Wednesday 26 August. It's directed by David Robert Mitchell, who's known for It Comes at Night and The Sighting, and the story centres on the Platt family, whose lives start to unravel after a mysterious dinosaur appears on their street. It's a strange, high-concept premise that puts a suburban family at the heart of something completely out of place.
On screen, the family is played by Christian Convery as Brian Platt, Anne Hathaway as Denise, Maisy Stella as Audrey, and Ewan McGregor as Greg. With Hathaway and McGregor leading the cast, it's a big-name ensemble for a story that starts with a dinosaur turning up on a quiet street and then follows the fallout that follows. The film is playing at Showcase Cinema De Lux, Level 4, West Quay Shopping Centre, SO15 1QF.
