The Dream Machine celebrate their third album with a set of 60s-influenced beat pop and psychedelia.
The Dream Machine play Heartbreakers Bar on Friday 18 September. They're a five-piece from Liverpool, and this is a date on the tour for their third album.
That third record is what they're celebrating here, and the set is built around it. They describe the sound as 60s-influenced beat pop and psychedelia, so it's that sort of mid-century, melodic thing — a bit of a nod to the beat groups of the sixties with a psychedelic edge. If you're familiar with the Wirral's The Coral, that's a fair point of comparison, and it gives you a rough idea of where they sit.
As a Liverpool five-piece, they've put out three albums to date, and this show is the celebration of the latest one. The set will lean on that new material, so it's a good chance to hear the record as it was intended, played live.
