It's set in a post-apocalyptic world where a virus has wiped out humanity, and the few survivors have to deal with roaming scavengers known as Reapers. Hig, a pilot who survived the flu but lost his wife, lives a lonesome existence in a Colorado airplane hangar with his dog and a dour gunman he's befriended. While he's flying his old Cessna, a mysterious transmission comes through on the radio, and that sparks a hunt for where the sound is coming from.
