The latest Star Wars cinematic adventure featuring Din Djarin and Grogu, screening at Showcase Cinema De Lux.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu opens at Showcase Cinema De Lux on Saturday 4 July, bringing the story of Din Djarin and Grogu to the big screen. It's the latest chapter in the Star Wars saga, and it's playing at the cinema in West Quay, so it's right in the middle of the shopping centre.
The film builds on the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, which follows the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and his small sidekick Grogu. The story is set after the fall of the Empire, with Imperial warlords still scattered across the galaxy, and the fledgling New Republic enlisting Din Djarin's help to deal with them. It's a continuation of that same dynamic—the lone hunter and the child—now moved from the small screen to the cinema.
Alongside Pascal, the cast includes Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White, so there are some new faces joining the mix. If you've followed the series, you'll know the setup: the Empire is gone, but its remnants are still out there, and Din Djarin is the one they call to track them down. This takes that premise and runs with it for a full feature.
