Puss in Boots

Puss in Boots is showing at Showcase Cinemas this weekend, with screenings on Saturday 27 June and Sunday 28 June. It's the animated spin-off from the Shrek franchise, so it's family-friendly territory — a proper one for taking the kids along.

The story follows Puss (Antonio Banderas) and Humpty Dumpty (Jack Black) as they team up to steal some magic beans from Jack and Jill. Along the way, they're joined by Kitty Softpaws, voiced by Salma Hayek, who works as their feline accomplice. It's a whimsical, imaginative adventure that stays true to the spirit of the Shrek world, and it's widely regarded as one of the best family animations from 2011.

There are two sessions to choose from: Saturday 27 June from 10:15 to 13:22, and Sunday 28 June from 10:30 to 13:22. Both are morning starts, so they work well if you're planning a family day out in the city.
