A watercolour painting workshop led by Viktoriia Bezugla where participants learn to paint a crab using the wet-on-wet technique.
Viktoriia Bezugla is leading a watercolour workshop at SeaCity Museum on Sunday 26 July, from 10.30am to 1pm. The session is part of the museum's Sunday Watercolours series, and the subject for the morning is a crab.
Bezugla is a fine artist and teacher, and she'll be guiding everyone through the process step by step. The focus is on the wet-on-wet watercolour technique—where you paint into wet paper rather than waiting for it to dry—and you'll use it to build up the shape, texture and colour of a lively crab. It's designed to be an easy, relaxed way to pick up the basics, so it works for all levels, from complete beginners to more experienced painters. The workshop is open to adults and young people over 16, so it's as much for a solo morning out as it is for bringing along a friend.
