Obsession

Obsession is screening at Showcase Cinema De Lux in Southampton on Tuesday 30 June. It's a horror film from 2026, directed by Curry Barker, and it runs for 1 hour and 48 minutes.

The story centres on Bear, a music store employee with a crush on his childhood friend, Nikki, who doesn't feel the same way. He comes across a mystical amulet that grants any wish, and he uses it to make Nikki love him. It works, but the result brings monstrous and violent consequences, so it's the kind of horror that starts with a familiar, awkward situation and spirals into something much darker. The cast includes Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, and Megan Lawless.
