A family-friendly animated film where the Minions go on a journey to find frightening creatures for their monster movie and must race to save the day.
Minions & Monsters is showing at Harbour Lights Picturehouse on Sunday 26 July. It's a new one for 2026, directed by Brian Lynch and featuring the voices of Christoph Waltz, Jeff Bridges and Zoey Deutch. The story follows the Minions as they set off on a journey to find frightening creatures for their monster movie, and then have to race to save the day.
If you're not familiar with the venue, Harbour Lights is a two-screen cinema and bar in Ocean Village, overlooking the marina. It's dog-friendly and has both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's a decent spot to hang out before or after a film. The café-bar serves coffee, cakes, pizzas, toasties, wines, craft beers, ciders and spirits, and it opens half an hour before the first screening of the day. The cinema runs a broad mix of films, from current blockbusters and family favourites to independent gems, cult classics and world cinema, and it also hosts Kids' Club and Toddler Time sessions. They take bookings for parties, private screenings and corporate events too.
