Stand-up comedy night featuring Markus Birdman and Keith Farnan at The Attic Comedy Club.
Markus Birdman and Keith Farnan are playing The Attic on Wednesday 7 October, part of the club's Beat the Hump mid-week comedy night. It's a double bill with two comedians who've spent a fair bit of time on the radio and TV, and they're both regulars on the circuit.
Birdman is the one the BBC described as 'the all-round package; witty, controversial, hip, topical, silly. A master of timing and physical comedy.' His history with the Beeb goes back to 2001, when he performed at the Edinburgh Festival as part of Screaming Blue Murder's Big Value Show and made the final of the televised BBC New Comedy Awards that same year. He's also been nominated for the NZ Comedy Guild Award for Best International Artist, which he picked up in 2014.
Farnan comes from a different angle: he's a former solicitor turned investigative comedian. He's a regular guest on radio across Ireland and the UK, including the BBC, RTE, Talk Sport, Today FM and Newstalk, and he's performed stand-up worldwide. His TV credits run through Most Annoying People on BBC3, One Night Stand (BBC), Liffey Laughs (RTE) and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), and he's written for and performed in The Insomniac Club for BBC Radio.
