Stand-up comedy night with headliner Laura Belbin at The Attic.
Laura Belbin is headlining The Attic on Saturday 19 September, bringing her stand-up to Southampton's Comedy Club & Live Music Venue. If you've come across her on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook, you'll know the angle she works from: she built her following as an antidote to the sugar-coated, unrealistic version of 'perfect' motherhood that tends to flood social media. It's the kind of comedy that finds the funny in the messy, unglamorous side of parenting, and she's no stranger to going viral for it.
This isn't her first time on stage. Back in 2022, she had a sold-out premiere of her show No Shame, and in June 2023 she took a new show, Knee Deep in Life, on a national tour. The two titles give you a fair idea of the territory she covers — the shame and the chaos that come with raising kids, and the feeling of being completely submerged in it. Her favourite saying is 'you are more than enough', which sits somewhere behind the jokes: the laugh comes from the recognition that most of us are just making it up as we go along.

If you've never seen her live, it's a good place to start. She's a social media sensation who's spent the last few years moving that energy onto the stage, and this is one of those nights where the headliner is the whole draw. The show starts at 7:45pm, and tickets are £15.95 including the booking fee.
