A night of nu-metal tribute with Last Resort bringing the raw energy of the early 2000s, with support from The Sixth Letter and a resident DJ.
Last Resort are playing The Joiners on Friday 9 October, bringing a full nu-metal tribute to the venue. They're the main act of the night, and they describe themselves as the UK's premier nu-metal tribute band, with the whole evening billed as the UK's biggest nu-metal party.
The set draws from the big names of the era — Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and Slipknot — and it's built around the sound of the early 2000s: the bounce, the breakdowns and the anthems that most people still know every word to. It's aimed squarely at the crowd that grew up on baggy jeans, chain wallets and distorted guitars, so it's a night for singing along rather than just listening.
Last Resort aren't the only ones on the bill. The Sixth Letter are supporting them, and a resident DJ will keep the nu-metal going throughout the night, so the music doesn't stop when the bands finish. The whole evening is open to over-14s, which means you can bring along a younger sibling if they're into the sound too.
