Jack Skipper returns with his new comedy show Nothing Heavy, a relatable take on life and getting older.
Jack Skipper is back at Mayflower Studios on Friday 28 May 2027, bringing his new comedy show Nothing Heavy to Studio 1. It's his first time playing the venue since his debut tour sold out, and he's coming off a spot on Live at the Apollo, so this is a bit of a step up in profile.
Nothing Heavy is a brand-new show, and the material leans on a relatable take on life, getting older, and everything in between. It's the kind of stand-up that works because it's familiar territory—the small, everyday things that most of us recognise from our own lives—rather than anything too abstract. The performance runs for about an hour and 40 minutes, which includes an interval, so you've got a proper evening of comedy rather than a short set.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind before you book. The show is strictly for ages 14 and over, and it's likely to contain swearing and adult content, so it's not one to bring the kids along to. If you're planning to go, it's worth noting that the doors open around 30 minutes before the show starts at 20:00, which gives you plenty of time to get settled in Studio 1 before he takes the stage.

Tickets are £22.00, with no discounts available. That puts it at a pretty standard price for a touring comedy show in town. With the 20:00 start and the interval, you're looking at a full night out in Southampton city centre.
