Scottish funk-rock trio High Fade return to Papillon for their TWICE AS NICE UK TOUR, blending funk, rock, disco, jazz, soul and punk.
High Fade are back at Papillon on Sunday 4 October, their first Southampton date in a while. The Scottish trio are touring the UK on their Twice As Nice run, and this is one of the stops. The band is Harry Valentino, Heath Campbell and Oliver Sentance, and they've been playing together since they formed in Edinburgh in 2018.
They started out busking on the streets of Edinburgh, where they built their sound on sharp funk and disco. Since then, their live sets have grown to pull in punk, rock, jazz, soul and R&B, so you'll hear a fair bit of ground covered in one night. They've played more than 1,500 shows worldwide, and that touring has picked up a few high-profile fans along the way: Jack Black, Cypress Hill, Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple and Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine are all among them. Their independent debut album, Life's Too Fast, charted in several countries.

Papillon is a 450-capacity live music venue, restaurant and bar in the city centre, housed in a Grade II listed former church built in 1845 that still has its original wooden beams and stained-glass windows. It's a good spot for a Sunday night if you're not planning a very early Monday morning. The show starts at 7:00 PM on Sunday 4 October, and you'll find the venue at 61 Commercial Rd, Southampton SO15 1GG.
