A Private Life

A Private Life is screening at Harbour Lights Picturehouse in Ocean Village, with sessions running throughout the week. It's the new film from Rebecca Zlotowski, her follow-up to Other People's Children, and it finds Jodie Foster taking on a French-language role as Lilian Steiner, a renowned psychiatrist who becomes deeply troubled and convinced that the death of one of her patients was murder, prompting her to investigate.

Harbour Lights is a two-screen cinema and bar in Ocean Village, overlooking the harbour, and it's dog-friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating. There's a café-bar on site serving coffee, cakes, pizzas, toasties and a range of wines, craft beers, ciders and spirits, so you can make an afternoon or evening of it rather than just popping in for the film. It's part of the Picturehouse chain, which also runs a Kids' Club and Toddler Time.

Screenings are spread across the week, so there's a time that works whether you're coming in for a matinee or a late one: Friday 17:50, Saturday 15:10, Sunday 14:30, Monday 18:00, Tuesday 14:45, Wednesday 17:30 and Thursday 15:40. Standard tickets are £9, with children £5.50, members £7, concessions £8 and family tickets at £25 and £27.50. If you can make it before 5pm, the price drops to £8, with children £5.50, members £6, concessions £7 and family tickets at £23 and £25.50. There's also a Silver Screen price of £4.50.
