Southampton’s medieval Old Town is getting a month-long reason to linger. Love The Old Town, organised by GO! Southampton, runs from 1 to 30 September 2026, bringing discounts, local events and a few useful reasons to revisit the area south of the Bargate. The campaign covers venues around the historic quarter, with some offers starting on 24 August and continuing until the end of September.

The savings range from culture and entertainment to food and drink. The 1865 is offering 20% off tickets, while High Score Arcade has 20% off general admission. At Tudor House & Garden, children under 16 can enter free with a paying adult throughout the month; the offer is also listed for Saturdays and Sundays. God’s House Tower is offering a free hot drink between 10am and 12pm, with another campaign listing a free tower ticket with every café purchase. It is also showing While We Slumber By Kitt, a free exhibition running until 12 October 2026.
There are several food and drink offers to fit around a wander through the old streets. The Duke of Wellington has 20% off food from Monday to Friday, 12pm to 3pm, and its Friday Night Lives sessions start at 8.30pm. The Platform Tavern is offering small fish and chips with a drink for £13, or £10 with a soft drink, alongside weekly live music from 9pm. Other offers include 10% off purchases of £5 or more at E&J Oriental/Go Oriental, 10% off at The Grapes, 20% off drinks at The London Hotel from Tuesday to Thursday, and 10% off alcoholic slushies at The White Star Tavern. At Dark Arts Potion Bar, the September deals include 20% off cocktails for students on Mondays and Tuesdays, two cocktails for £15 from Monday to Thursday, and 10% off potion-making. The bar is at 125 High Street and opens from 5.30pm to 11pm daily, according to the current details.
September’s calendar gives the campaign a wider setting. Music in the City returns on Saturday 12 September 2026, with free live music across venues and spaces around Southampton, including Old Town locations such as God’s House Tower, the Duke of Wellington, the Platform Tavern and The London Hotel. Heritage Open Days run from 11 to 20 September, offering another chance to explore the city’s historic buildings. Later in the month, the Southampton International Boat Show takes place at Mayflower Park from 18 to 27 September. It runs from 10am to 6pm daily, with late nights at the Shipyard until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays; on Sunday 27 September it closes at 4.30pm. The show is separate from the Old Town campaign, but its dates make September a particularly busy period for the city centre.
There is also a regular evening programme among the participating venues: Medbar has Karaoke & DJ on Wednesdays from 8pm, The London Hotel hosts Divas & Legends on Sundays from 7pm, and Mail Room has Saturday Stir with DJ FEZE. With more than 50 independent restaurants, bars and cafés in the quarter, the campaign guide is a practical way to check which offers suit your plans before heading out. The full list of participating venues and terms is available through Visit Southampton’s Old Town guide.
