Beginner-friendly charity boxing showcase where people with no boxing background train for eight weeks and then fight three rounds in front of spectators.
Ultra White Collar Boxing is coming to FORGE Warehouse on Saturday 12 December, with training starting the week of Monday 19 October. If you've never boxed before, that's the whole point: it's pitched as a way for people with no boxing background to experience the sport in a safe and enjoyable environment, getting in shape while raising money for charity.
Here's how it works. Complete beginners take eight weeks of free professional boxing training at a gym, and then they face an evenly matched opponent over three rounds, wearing 16oz gloves and head guards, at a fully regulated showcase event in front of friends, family and hundreds or thousands of spectators. You don't need to have a clue about boxing to get involved; the training is there to take you from zero to ring-ready.
There's a charity side to it, too. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of £50 for their chosen charity, and the organisation names a top fundraiser each year — Rhys Davies took that title in 2025, ahead of 17,000 competitors. Ultra Events says the scheme has raised £43.5 million for charity so far, so your training and your fight end up supporting something bigger than just your own fitness.
