Cabaret Extreme

Cabaret Extreme comes to Sheffield City Hall on Monday 8 February 2027, playing the Oval Hall. It's a one-off night in the city, and the bill is a bit of a hybrid: burlesque, drag, extreme stunts and contemporary circus all on the same stage. If you're not sure where that puts it, the organisers describe it as a bizarre blend that reimagines traditional entertainment, and they say it's designed to make the audience laugh, gasp and marvel.

That's a fair amount of ground to cover in one evening. The burlesque and drag bring the cabaret side of things, while the extreme stunts and contemporary circus pull in the more physical, high-wire end of the spectrum. It's not a variety show in the old-school sense, but a production that puts those different styles together rather than keeping them separate.

There's a bit of pedigree behind it, too. The show comes from the creative visionaries behind some of the world's most iconic circuses, so the circus elements aren't just a side act — they're a central part of what they do. That circus background informs the whole thing, from the stunts to the contemporary acts, and it's the same team that's bringing it to Sheffield.

It's a Monday night, so if you're planning to head in, keep that in mind. The show starts at 19:30 at the Oval Hall in Sheffield City Hall, Barker's Pool, Sheffield S1 2JA.
