If you have spent the last few years singing along to Disney soundtracks in the car, there is a proper version of it coming to Sheffield. Disney Princess – The Concert lands at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday 8 April 2027, and the big update is that a matinee has been added at 2pm alongside the usual 7pm evening show, which is handy if you are bringing younger children who would rather be in bed than in the front row.

It is worth knowing what you are actually booking, because this is not a pantomime. There are no costumed characters on stage; instead, the show is built around Broadway and West End stars appearing as themselves, with each performance presented by three princess stars, their Music Director and the Prince. The cast for the UK tour is a long list of professional theatre names, and the specific line-up for the Sheffield shows will not be announced until August 2027, so you are buying the show rather than a particular name.
The setlist is the real draw, pulling from more than 29 Disney films. How Far I'll Go, A Whole New World, Just Around the Riverbend, Part of Your World, Almost There and Let It Go are all in the mix, and the whole thing runs to about an hour and 45 minutes with a 20-minute interval. It is produced in London by Disney Concerts, Broadway Princess Party, Cuffe & Taylor and Live Nation, and it has played in 20 countries across five continents since it premiered in 2021, including two US tours that took in more than 100 cities.
A few practical things to sort before you go. Tickets are e-tickets sent by email 14 days before the show, so if they have not landed 48 hours before, you will need to call Guest Services on 0800 640 8101. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and the production uses Broadway-level sound, theatrical lighting, fog and large LED screens, which may affect anyone with photosensitivity or audio-sensitivity. If you want to go all out, there are VIP packages that add the best available seat, a sound check experience with an exclusive performance and Q&A with the artists, a VIP lanyard, a poster and a merchandise bundle.
As for the venue, Sheffield City Hall sits at Barker's Pool, S1 2JA, and is a Grade II listed building. It is well set up for access, with a ramp on the front for wheelchair users, lifts to every floor and accessible toilets on every level, so if you have any specific requirements it is worth emailing accessteam@sheffieldcityhall.co.uk or calling the box office on 0114 223 3751 or 2 to sort it in advance. The Sheffield date is part of a wider UK and Ireland tour that runs from 12 March to 2 May, so if you cannot make the 8th, there are plenty of other stops across the country to choose from.
