Young-Chhaylee + Liv Victorino + Jessie Thoreson + Rain Against Your Window

Young-Chhaylee headlines Conor Byrne Cooperative on Saturday, October 17, with Liv Victorino, Jessie Thoreson, and Rain Against Your Window on the bill. It's a full lineup of Pacific Northwest songwriters sharing one stage, so you'll get a few different voices in a single night.

Young-Chhaylee is a singer-songwriter from the PNW whose sound blends soul, pop, and folk. The voice is the center of it: described as powerful and fluttering, strong and vulnerable at the same time. It's the kind of singing that can carry a song on its own, and that's where the soul and pop elements really come through.

Jessie Thoreson is also a PNW folk-rock songwriter, and the names she draws from give you a good sense of where she sits. She cites Fiona Apple, Madison Cunningham, Joni Mitchell, and Finom as influences—a list that leans toward the melodic, the literate, and the carefully crafted. If you're into folk-rock that pays attention to the writing, she'll be right in that wheelhouse.

Between them, you've got two songwriters from the same corner of the country bringing different takes on the folk tradition—one pulling from soul and pop, the other from the folk-rock lineage of Mitchell and Apple. Liv Victorino and Rain Against Your Window round out the bill, making it a night of four acts rather than a single headliner with a couple of openers.

Tickets are $15.49 for GA Advance, which includes fees. The show is Saturday, October 17, at Conor Byrne Cooperative in Seattle.
