Concert by the atmospheric black metal band Wolves in the Throne Room, supported by Spirit Possession, at the iconic Neumos venue.
Wolves in the Throne Room play Neumos on Wednesday, February 10, 2027, with Spirit Possession opening. It's a local return for the Olympia band, who've spent years as one of the most recognized names in atmospheric black metal—often called the "Kings of USBM."
Their sound is built on epic, sprawling compositions that evoke the raw beauty and power of the Pacific Northwest wilderness, delivered through intricate musicianship and ritualistic live performances. It's music that takes its time, leaning into the atmosphere and the landscape it draws from.
They'll be touring their 2026 album, Estuary, which is set 1,000 years after the end of civilization, in a world where post-apocalyptic religion takes shape among mutant creatures and open portals. The record is rawer and more volatile than their previous work, driven by massive percussion and seething gothic guitars. It's a shift in tone from the more expansive, atmospheric side of their catalog, and the live set should reflect that.
