Annual jazz festival featuring performances, workshops, and a film screening across the city, presented by the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art in partnership with Earshot Jazz.
The Within/Earshot Jazz Festival runs from October 9 to 25, 2026, with concerts at Town Hall in Seattle. It's a partnership between the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) and Seattle's Earshot Jazz, and the festival organizers describe it as a dynamic, living conversation where sound, story and art intersect.
The lineup spreads across the weeks. The Metta Quintet opens with An Evening with Metta Quintet: Coltrane and Miles at 100, a set built around the centennials of John Coltrane and Miles Davis. Afrocop follows in concert, and Jun Iida plays on Friday, October 16. The Greta Matassa Group takes the stage Saturday, October 17. On Thursday, October 22, the focus shifts from performance to listening with Jazz with Jim: Great Musicians We All Need To Know, and Pearl Django closes things out on Saturday, October 24.
