Winter Beer Taste

The Winter Beer Taste returns to the Phinney Center Blue Building on Saturday, November 14, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It's Seattle's longest-running beer festival and an annual fundraiser for the Phinney Neighborhood Association, a grassroots organization that describes its work as fighting the loneliness epidemic by connecting and caring for neighbors across North Seattle. The event has been held for more than 30 years inside the Blue Building, a former schoolhouse built in 1904, and it started nearly four decades ago when a group of beer-loving friends built it from the ground up, personally inviting breweries to pour as a donation to the PNA.

This year's edition is themed Future Brewerama, and the community committee that picks the theme each year has leaned into sci-fi silliness—costumes are encouraged. The lineup features more than 30 breweries, including Aslan, Bale Breaker, Burke-Gilman Brewing, Chuckanut Brewery, Culture Shock, Dirty Couch, El Sueñito, Fair Isle, Flying Bike Cooperative, Georgetown, Ghostfish, Halcyon, Hellbent, Here Today, Holy Mountain, Ladd & Lass, Lowlander, Lucky Envelope, Obec, Offset Ciderworks, Perihelion, Pinball Cider, Reuben's Brews, Rooftop, Seapine, Stoup, Timber Ginger, Urban Family, and Yonder. You'll find brews made just for the event alongside the regular pours.

Beyond the beer, the night includes a vinyl DJ from local station KBFG, a famous cookie parade, a punch wall, games and prizes, and unlimited pub snacks. General admission is $65, and VIP is $85, with VIP getting early entry at 6 PM. There's also a 'Just Here for the Party' ticket—$20 for GA and $30 for VIP—if you're coming for the atmosphere rather than the tasting.
