Concert featuring Wet Temple, Castle and Slow Goat at The Funhouse, a 21+ stoner doom and sludge metal night.
Castle headlines The Funhouse on Friday, October 23, with Slow Goat and Wet Temple rounding out the bill. It's a heavy night that stays in the doom and stoner metal neighborhood from start to finish.
Castle is a heavy/doom metal trio that formed in San Francisco back in 2009. They're known for a witchy, occult-themed sound, with vocalist and bassist Elizabeth Blackwell and guitarist Mat Davis at the core. They've been at it for over fifteen years, so they're the veteran act of the three.
Slow Goat comes from Portland and formed in 2021, bringing a heavy psych and doom metal blend that mixes stoner rock, doom metal, and heavy psychedelia. They're the youngest of the bunch, and their sound leans more toward the psychedelic side of the spectrum than the others.

Wet Temple is an independent two-piece stoner doom and sludge metal band from Mount Vernon, Washington. They originally formed as a power trio under the name Temple of the Wet Nurse and have spent more than a decade honing punishing stoner-doom riffs and sludge brute force delivered at face-melting volume. They draw on acts like Conan, High on Fire, and Behold the Monolith. Since they're from Mount Vernon, they're the local presence on the bill.
The show is at The Funhouse, 109 Eastlake Ave E, Seattle, WA 98109. Doors open at 7 PM and the music starts at 8 PM. Tickets are $16.55, and the night is 21+, so you'll need your ID at the door.
