Over-21s metal show by Seattle's Void Hunter, with Tar Pit and Riastrad, on the Disciples of DOOM tour.
Void Hunter play The Funhouse (El Corazón) on Saturday, October 17, with Tar Pit and Riastrad opening. It's a local bill for a Seattle band, and the whole night is 21+.
Void Hunter formed here in 2019. They play a riff-driven brand of metal that pulls from a few different directions: thrashy rhythms, doom-metal groove, and high-octane rock & roll in the vein of Motörhead, with the occasional proggy detour. Their 2023 debut EP, Anthropocene, collects five thematically linked tracks about humanity's destruction of the earth and the disasters that follow—war, famine, pestilence, and death. If you've heard the record, you'll recognize the sound they're bringing to the stage.
The show is part of the Disciples of DOOM tour, which also takes in Odachi. With Tar Pit and Riastrad on the bill, it's a full night of heavy music rather than a single act. The venue is El Corazón, located at 109 Eastlake Ave E in Seattle.
