Cosmic rock band Triptides perform live at the intimate Substation venue in Seattle.
Triptides play Substation on Thursday, November 12, 2026, starting at 7 PM. They're a cosmic Los Angeles band, and the sound they're bringing to Seattle pulls from a few different places: psychedelic rock, Laurel Canyon folk, and spaced-out jazz pop. All of it is built around the layered melodies and harmonies of leader Glenn Brigman, with chiming guitars, hypnotic drums, glittering pianos, and fuzz. He's known for airy vocals and a melodic, harmony-rich songwriting that spans 14 years and dozens of albums and singles.
On stage, the band is a four-piece. Glenn Brigman handles guitar, organ, and vocals; Craig Jacobs is on drums; Tyler English plays bass; and Stephen Burns adds bass and vocals. They describe their live show as something that shifts shapes and moods like lightning in a bottle, so you'll likely hear them move through those different styles—the psych rock, the folk, and the jazz pop—within a single set.
