Trans-Siberian Orchestra brings its 30th-anniversary staging of the Christmas rock opera 'The Ghosts of Christmas Eve' to Climate Pledge Arena, with two shows.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is back at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday, November 29, with two shows in one day: a 3 PM matinee and a 7:30 PM evening performance. They're playing The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, which they bill as the most popular Christmas rock opera in the U.S. It's a live production that combines music, storytelling, and the staging they're known for.
This particular run marks TSO's 30th anniversary, and they've updated the show for it. The first half is a reimagined staging of The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, followed by a high-energy second set. The whole thing is built around their signature lasers, pyrotechnics, and special effects, so it's as much a visual thing as a musical one. If you've seen them before, this is a new take on the production rather than a straight repeat.
They've been a regular part of the city's holiday season for a long time—they've brought the show to Seattle in 23 different years since 2000. There's also a local component to the ticket: one dollar from every seat goes to local charities, which they say has put hundreds of thousands of dollars back into the community over the years.
