A dark fantasy burlesque musical parodying The Nightmare Before Christmas, presented by Can Can Culinary Cabaret at The Triple Door.
This Is Halloween is back at The Triple Door this season, running from Thursday, October 15 through Saturday, October 31, and continuing through November 1. It's a Can Can Culinary Cabaret production, and it's now in its 18th annual run.
The show is a dark fantasy burlesque musical—an original adaptation that parodies the misadventures of Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king and most-acclaimed citizen of Halloween Town. Weary of his usual terrifying antics and exhausted by the monotony of the same Halloween year after year, Jack takes a contemplative stroll through an enchanted forest that changes Halloween Town—and Seattle—forever. It's built around Can Can's signature cabaret and burlesque production stylings, with live orchestral music, vocal performance, and video projections, drawing inspiration from Tim Burton's classic.
Behind the scenes, the production is led by artistic director and founder Chris Pink, choreographer Fae Pink, co-producer and emcee Jonathan Betchtel, and composer and music producer Dave Pezzner. It's staged alongside The Triple Door's food and beverages, so you can eat and drink while you watch.
