An immersive interactive courtroom drama where the audience serves as the jury, listening to witness testimonies and casting the vote that determines the fate of the accused.
The Jury Experience comes to the Nesholm Family Lecture Hall at McCaw Hall on Sunday, October 11, with two back-to-back shows at 6 PM and 8:30 PM. It's an immersive courtroom drama that puts the audience in the jury box: you listen to witness testimony, weigh the evidence, and cast the vote that decides the fate of the accused. Professional actors play the attorneys, witnesses, and defendants, and you'll need your phone handy to scan QR codes and vote at key moments. Those decisions open up hidden angles of the case, so no two shows play out exactly the same way.
The current trial, Death on the Port Side, starts with a late-night speedboat crash involving the son of a powerful politician, an ex-lover, and old friends. Hours later, one was dead, another in a coma, and the son faced murder charges. The production has toured more than 40 cities and collected numerous five-star reviews along the way.
