The Dresden Dolls - Yes, Virginia... (Tailor's Version)

The Dresden Dolls play The 5th Avenue Theatre on Saturday, October 10, at 8 PM. It's a reunion of the punk cabaret duo formed in Boston back in 2000, when singer-songwriter Amanda Palmer and drummer and multi-instrumentalist Brian Viglione met by chance at a Halloween party—a beginning that fit their macabre aesthetic. Together they helped define the 'Brechtian punk cabaret' genre, and their 2005 album Yes, Virginia..., released on Roadrunner Records, produced the viral hit 'My Alcoholic Friends' alongside 'Coin-Operated Boy.' Over the years they've toured with Nine Inch Nails, Cyndi Lauper, Patti Smith and The Cure, and played festivals like Lollapalooza, Coachella and Glastonbury.

After an unofficial hiatus since 2008, the pair reunited to re-record that 2005 album from scratch once their twenty-year contract with Roadrunner expired. They called the result Yes, Virginia... (Tailor's Version), a nod to Taylor Swift's masters dispute. The new version came out August 7, 2026, cut at Mad Oak Studios in Boston with engineer Benny Grotto and guest vocalists Jinkx Monsoon and Veronica Swift. This show is part of the tour for that record.

As for what to wear, the band suggests you 'dress for the end of the world... or the beginning' for their visceral live show. Tickets are $55.10 to $91.10, and the show starts at 8 PM at The 5th Avenue Theatre, 1308 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101.
