The Army, The Navy perform their debut album 'Fake Brave Life' live at Neumos, with special guest Ella Woolsey.
The Army, The Navy play Neumos on Thursday, October 8, with Ella Woolsey opening. The duo is touring their debut album, Fake Brave Life, which came out in June 2026 and shares its name with their first arena-adjacent headlining run.
Maia Ciambriello and Sasha Goldberg are a duo from the foothills of Mount Tamalpais who first grew close as undergraduates in New Orleans studying songwriting. They turned childhood harmonizing into a viral act through TikTok clips and two EPs, Fruit for Flies (2023) and Sugar for Bugs, before releasing Fake Brave Life. The record was cut in Athens, Georgia and New York City with producers Drew Vandenberg and Mikey Freedom Hart, and they brought in session musicians and a string quartet to round out the sound. The two still write together in Los Angeles, gathering verses in a notebook they call "the Bible."
Their live show runs just under seventy minutes, built around the close vocal blend they've shared since grade school and carried by the easy onstage banter of longtime friends. Ella Woolsey opens the night, and the set focuses on the new material from Fake Brave Life.
