Concert by Austin-based singer-songwriter Taylor Rae, performing with her duo Lemongrass at The Triple Door.
Taylor Rae plays The Triple Door on Thursday, October 29, with Lemongrass opening. The show is in The Rabbit Box, the smaller room inside the venue at 216 Union Street.
Rae is an Austin-based singer-songwriter whose music pulls from roots-rock, Americana, folk, blues, and alternative. She grew up in California's Santa Cruz Mountains and studied music in Los Angeles before moving to Texas, where she became a fixture in the Americana and roots scene. Her debut album, Mad Twenties, broke nationally, spending more than 30 weeks on the Americana Radio charts and landing a Top 10 single. She spent years touring behind it, playing major festivals including SXSW and AmericanaFest. Later, she released The Void, produced by Grammy winner Eric Krasno. No Depression called her "a singer fully in command of her vocal gifts," and NPR Music named her one of the best bands at SXSW 2025.
Opening the night is Lemongrass, the duo she forms with Sam Hodgson. They draw on the tradition of The Avett Brothers, Shakey Graves, and Mumford & Sons, with the two harmonizing while playing percussion, kick drum, and tambourine.
