Sunset Rollercoaster with Cloudriver

Sunset Rollercoaster play Showbox SoDo on Wednesday, October 21, with Cloudriver opening. The show starts at 8 PM.

Sunset Rollercoaster is a romantic pop band from Taipei led by Tseng Kuo-Heng on vocals and guitar. He's joined by Chen Hung-Li on bass, Lo Tsun-Lung on drums, Wang Shao-Hsuan on keyboards, and Huang Hao-Ting on saxophone. Their sound pulls from a few different places: American soul, R&B, and rock mixed with the neon-lit jazz-funk of Japanese city pop and the earworm melodies of Mandarin pop. It's a blend that started in the DIY, garage-punk energy of Taiwan's underground scene.

Since those early days, they've grown into a festival-headlining act across Asia and have headlined tours in North America and Europe. The Seattle show is an all-ages door, with 21 and over to drink.
