Pop-punk band State Champs perform live at The Showbox in Seattle, with support from Cartel, Taylor Acorn and Like Roses.
State Champs play The Showbox on Wednesday, November 18, with Cartel, Taylor Acorn and Like Roses opening. The show starts at 7 PM.
State Champs formed in Albany, New York, back in 2010, when vocalist Derek DiScanio teamed up with guitarist Tyler Szalkowski. They built their name on the pop-punk sound, first with their 2013 debut The Finer Things and then with Around The World And Back in 2015, which put them right at the front of the genre. Their 2015 record Living Proof came out on Pure Noise Records and was recorded with producer John Feldmann. For that one, Feldmann brought in Blink-182's Mark Hoppus to co-write and sing on "Dead And Gone," and the band also collaborated with All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth.

It's a full bill, too. Cartel, Taylor Acorn and Like Roses are all on the lineup, so there's plenty to hear before State Champs take the stage. The Showbox is one of Seattle's longest-running rooms, and the night is all ages to enter, 21 and over to drink. The show is on Wednesday, November 18, at 7 PM.
