Concert by the indie rock band Slothrust at The Showbox in Seattle.
Slothrust play The Showbox on Sunday, November 1, at 8 PM. It's a single-bill night, so they're the only act on the marquee.
Slothrust is the project of principal songwriter, singer and guitarist Leah Wellbaum, with drummer Will Gorin and bassist Kyle Bann. They put out their debut LP, Feels Your Pain, in 2012, and followed it with Of Course You Do in 2014. That second record included "7:30 am," which served as the theme for the FX Network show You're The Worst. Their 2016 Dangerbird debut, Everyone Else, established them as a distinctive act, and they closed out 2017 with the EP Show Me How You Want It To Beāa collection of covers by artists as diverse as Al Green, Britney Spears, Black Sabbath and Louis Armstrong. Their fourth full-length, The Pact, was recorded in Los Angeles with producer and mixer Billy Bush, who has also worked with Garbage, Neon Trees and The Boxer Rebellion.
