Minneapolis dream-pop and shoegaze band She's Green performs at the intimate live music venue Baba Yaga, with support from Witches Exist and Starling.
She's Green play Baba Yaga on Tuesday, October 27, with Witches Exist and Starling opening. The Minneapolis band describes its sound as 'moss music' — a term that fits the hazy, atmospheric territory they've been carving out over their first two records.
They first appeared in 2023 with the debut EP Wisteria, which included the viral track 'Mandy.' In 2025, they followed it up with Chrysalis, a record that keeps the shimmering shoegaze and dream-pop of the first but pushes into deeper songcraft. Between the two, the group has built a sound that sits somewhere between the wash of Slowdive and the ethereal textures of the Cocteau Twins.
That dream-pop lineage isn't the only thing they're drawing from. The band — Liam Armstrong, Zofia Smith, Raines Lucas, Kevin Seebeck and Teddy Nordvold — cites J.R.R. Tolkien and Hayao Miyazaki alongside their musical influences, and they talk about building their own musical and visual world of dreamy fantasy, emotional openness and sonic depth. It's a bit of a specific pitch, but it gives you a sense of where they're coming from: more interested in atmosphere and world-building than in standard indie-rock tropes.
