14th edition of the Seattle Turkish Film Festival, screening films from Turkish cinema at SIFF Cinema Uptown.
The Seattle Turkish Film Festival returns for its 14th edition on November 7 and 8, with screenings at SIFF Cinema Uptown. It's a small, community-run affair—put together by a group of volunteers who bring together some of the best films and directors from Turkish cinema for Seattle audiences.
The main program runs across those two days at SIFF Cinema Uptown, and there's a fundraiser happening on those same dates. If you're around on the first night, there's also a gala over at KEXP on November 7, so you can stretch the weekend into a few different outings.
One detail that gives the festival some local flavor: the merchandise is custom-made by Ahmet Gönüllüoğlu (@dudesignn), and the designs take their cues from some of the most popular Turkish cult classics. It's a nice nod to the cinema that's on screen, and something you can take home after the credits roll.

Between the screenings at SIFF Cinema Uptown and the gala at KEXP, the festival spans November 7 and 8. If you're planning to catch more than one film, keep in mind that the screenings are spread across both days.
