Screening of Much Ado About Nothing (1993) directed by Kenneth Branagh, as part of the Excellent Adventures: Celebrating Keanu Reeves festival by SAM Films.
SAM Films is screening Kenneth Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing (1993) at the Seattle Asian Art Museum on Friday, November 13. The screening takes place in the Stimson Auditorium, and it's part of a larger festival the museum is running called Excellent Adventures: Celebrating Keanu Reeves.
If you're not familiar with the festival, it's a series of screenings running across select Friday nights at the museum in Volunteer Park. The whole program gathers eight Keanu Reeves films, ranging from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) and My Own Private Idaho (1991) to The Matrix (1999). It puts some of his lesser-known gems alongside his biggest hits, so it's a good way to see the breadth of his work in one place rather than just the ones everyone knows.

Much Ado About Nothing is one of those lesser-known ones. It's Branagh's take on Shakespeare, and Reeves plays Don Pedro. It's a bit of a departure from the roles he's most famous for, which is exactly the kind of thing this festival is highlighting. The screening is on Friday, November 13, at the Seattle Asian Art Museum in Volunteer Park.
