Los Angeles rock quartet Rival Sons perform live at The Showbox, supported by The Blue Stones and The Velveteers.
Rival Sons play The Showbox on Saturday, October 31, with The Blue Stones and The Velveteers opening. It's one stop on a 24-date US tour they're running through 2026, so they'll be in the city for one night.
They're a Los Angeles rock quartet fronted by Jay Buchanan on vocals, harmonica, and rhythm guitar, with Scott Holiday on lead guitar, Mike Miley on drums, and Dave Beste on bass. Their 2019 album FERAL ROOTS earned two Grammy nominations and produced the hit "Do Your Worst," which topped rock radio. Their seventh record, DARKFIGHTER (2023, Low Country Sound / Atlantic Records), came out during the pandemic and drew on Buchanan's experience working in a mortuary. Along the way, they've shared stages with Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, and Lenny Kravetz, and they started their own label, Sacred Tongue Recordings. In 2021, they toured their 2011 album Pressure & Time in its entirety.
