Concert by singer Rebecca Black, marking fifteen years since her viral hit 'Friday', with support from BAYLI.
Rebecca Black plays The Showbox on Friday, October 30, as part of the Showbox Presents series. She's not alone for the night; BAYLI opens the bill, so you'll get two acts in one go.
If you're coming to this knowing her only as the voice behind 'Friday,' there's a bit of a milestone to keep in mind: that debut single came out in 2007 and became a global viral phenomenon, and this year marks fifteen years since its release. Since then, she's worked as a singer, songwriter, DJ, and producer, and the live set will draw from that whole range. She's also spent time on the road opening for Katy Perry's Lifetimes tour and made her Boiler Room debut.
The set will lean heavily on her latest work. Her self-released sophomore album, Age of the Exhibitionist, is out now, and the tracks 'Speakerphone,' 'Hot Wet Delirious,' 'Michael,' and 'Anaheim Star' lead the way. Between those and the older material, you'll get a look at where she's been and where she's at now.
