Punk rock night featuring Rat Queen, Fiig, Devilwood and Jacob T. Skeen at the Conor Byrne Pub, 21+ only.
Rat Queen headlines the Conor Byrne Pub on Friday, October 9, with a bill that brings in two acts from Salt Lake City. The local six-piece punk rock band leads the night with a danceable, greasy, and irreverent sound that they say predated the 'Hot Rat Summer' trend. They're joined by Fiig and Jacob T. Skeen, both coming in from SLC, with Seattle's own Devilwood closing things out.
Fiig is a four-piece that blends '70s metal, heavy psych, and classic rock 'n' roll. Jacob T. Skeen is a one-man punk outfit, layering fuzzy guitars and industrial textures. He cites A Place to Bury Strangers, The OSEES, and Suicide as influences and draws on the religious atmosphere of the Mormon church. Devilwood, a Seattle band, rounds out the bill.
