Concert by the genre-bending rock band Post Sex Nachos, with support from Hannah Geller, at the Substation venue in Seattle.
Post Sex Nachos play Substation on Friday, October 16, with support from Hannah Geller. The four-piece hails from Columbia, Missouri, and they've spent the last few years working their way across the country from the middle of the Midwest. Mitch Broddon is on lead guitar, Sammy Elfanbaum on rhythm, Chase Mueller on bass, and Hunter Pendleton on drums.
They describe themselves as genre-bending 'roller-coaster rockers' out to redefine the term 'boy band,' and they talk about turning life's heaviest feelings into something you can dance to by blending humor, heart, and emotional honesty. That's a fair amount of ground to cover in one set, but it's the way they frame what they do. The band has played major festivals like Lollapalooza, Summerfest, Mile of Music, and Bonnaroo, and they've supported acts like Ripe, Allen Stone, Valley, The Runarounds, Stolen Gin, and The Strumbellas, selling out rooms in Chicago, New York, Nashville, Salt Lake City, and Washington, DC. Their EP Booster Pack produced 'SOS,' which became SiriusXM Alt Nation's most-spun track, and they later staged their own Nacho Fest, which drew more than 1,000 fans.
Opening for them is Hannah Geller, a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Appleton, Wisconsin. She records and produces every instrument herself, so what you hear on her records is her doing the whole thing. Between her and the four of Post Sex Nachos, there are five people on the bill, and they're all coming from the Midwest to play a Friday night in Seattle.
