A live polyamory dating show created and hosted by Rose Oser, featuring guests from the Multiamory podcast, audience challenges, and a 'Poly Pool' of contestants.
poly poly oxen free comes to the Fremont Abbey Arts Center on Wednesday, October 14, for a live polyamory dating show. It's created and hosted by Rose Oser, and this stop features guests from the Multiamory podcast.
The title is a play on "olly olly oxen free!", the call used to bring people back out to play. The show centers on "The Catch"βsomeone who already has at least one partner and is looking for more. Their current partner takes the stage as the ultimate wingperson, pitching The Catch to the audience with a PowerPoint presentation. From there, contestants in the "Poly Pool" pitch themselves in the same way, and Oser throws in challenges to help The Catch make a decision. It's a dating show played out in front of a room, with the PowerPoint presentations doing a lot of the heavy lifting.
Oser has taken the show beyond Seattle; it's been picked up by The Gothamist, The New York Times, and the New York Comedy Fest. The whole thing runs about an hour and a half, with drinks available before the show and during the intermission.
