Phillip Phillips plays The Crocodile on Wednesday, October 7, as part of his Let's Go Far Tour. He's bringing Elias Hix along to open the bill.
If you're coming to the show, you probably know him from "Home," the five-times platinum hit that launched his career. He grew up in Leesburg, Georgia, picked up the guitar at 14, and started singing and songwriting as a teenager, eventually forming an acoustic band with his older sister and brother-in-law. He left his family's pawn shop to audition for American Idol in the summer of 2011 and came out as the season 11 winner; "Home" became the most successful coronation song of any Idol winner and the highest debut ever on Billboard's Digital Songs chart.
Since then, he's put out a steady stream of records. His 2012 debut, The World From The Side Of The Moon, entered the Billboard 200 at number four and went platinum. That was followed by Behind The Light, which he toured in 2016, and 2019's Collateral, produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb. Collateral includes "Dance With Me," a song he wrote for his wife, Hannah, whom he married that same year. The couple later welcomed a son, Patch.
