East Texas singer-songwriter Paul Cauthen performs live at Showbox SoDo as part of his The Book of Paul Tour, with Leon Majcen.
Paul Cauthen plays Showbox SoDo on Saturday, October 24, as part of his The Book of Paul Tour. He's an East Texas singer-songwriter and country provocateur who got his start in 2009 with the duo Sons of Fathers. He learned to sing from his grandfather in a Church of Christ, and that gospel influence still runs through his work.
This is his fifth album, Book of Paul, and he co-wrote 12 of its 13 tracks. The sound pulls from country, rock n roll, soul, gospel, and americana, and the show is for ages 21 and over. He'll be joined by Leon Majcen, who opens the night.
Cauthen has four albums behind this one: My Gospel, Room 41, Country Coming Down, and Black on Black. He's toured the world collaborating with Margo Price, Orville Peck, Cody Jinks, and Lana Del Rey, and he's put up 442 million global streams, including a GOLD-certified collaboration with Shaboozey on "Last Of My Kind."
