Southern California rock quartet Movements performs on the HAPPIER NOW USA Tour, supported by Balance and Composure, Midrift and Niis.
Movements play Showbox SoDo on Wednesday, October 7, with Balance and Composure, Midrift, and Niis opening. It's a stop on the HAPPIER NOW USA Tour, out in support of their fourth full-length album, Happier Now.
Movements are a Southern California quartet formed in 2015 by longtime friends Patrick Miranda on vocals, Ira George on guitar, Spencer York on drums, and Austin Cressey on bass, all from Rancho Santa Margarita. They signed with Fearless Records after just one local gig and have worked with producer Will Yip, who has also produced Turnstile, Title Fight, Circa Survive, and Citizen. Their debut EP Outgrown Things was followed by the full-length Feel Something, and songs like "Nineteen" and "Kept" each racked up over 800,000 Spotify streams, drawing attention from Alternative Press and New Noise Magazine.
Happier Now blends the band's early sound with material from 2023's RUCKUS!. Frontman Patrick Miranda pointed to the singles "Dissolve Me" and "Back In My Ways" as the sonic north stars of the record, so those are the tracks that best set the stage for what they're bringing to the set. The Seattle date is part of the tour supporting the album, with Balance and Composure, Midrift, and Niis filling out the bill.
