Concert by the jam-rock band moe. at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle.
moe. are playing the Neptune Theatre on Saturday, April 10, 2027, starting at 8 PM. They're a jam-rock band from Buffalo, New York, and they've been at this for over thirty years. They describe themselves as a one-of-a-kind act, and the jam-rock label is a loose fit—their sound changes from one song to the next, which is why they've earned a reputation for 'mind-bending musicality.'
The core of the band has been together for a long time. Founding members Al Schnier on guitars and vocals, Chuck Garvey on guitars and vocals, and bassist-singer-songwriter Rob Derhak have been the constant. Drummer Vinnie Amico joined in 1996, and percussionist and vibraphonist Jim Loughlin has been with them since 1992. Keyboardist Nate Wilson, who played with Percy Hill and Assembly of Dust, became a full-time member after stepping in while Garvey was recovering from a stroke.
Their discography stretches back decades. Some of their best-known LPs are Tin Cans & Car Tires (1998), Wormwood (2004), The Conch (2007), and What Happened To The La Las (2012). In 2020, they released This Is Not, We Are and the Not Normal EP, and celebrated their 30th anniversary. They've also headlined their own festivals, snoe.down and moe.down, and their fans call themselves 'famoe.ly.'
